History
The Championships, Wimbledon, or simply Wimbledon (20 June – 3 July in 2011), is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and is considered by many to be the most prestigious. It has been held at the All England Club in the London suburb of Wimbledon since 1877. It is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments – the other three Majors are the Australian Open, French Open and US Open – and the only one still played on the game's original surface, grass, which gave the game of lawn tennis its name.

The tournament takes place over two weeks in late June and early July, culminating with the Ladies' and Gentlemen's Singles Final, scheduled respectively for the second Saturday and Sunday. Each year, five major events are contested, as well as four junior events and four invitational events.

BETTING ADVICE
Wimbledon Tennis offers profit making opportunities for savvy punters
and here is how you can cash in....

Sometimes bookmakers offer a spread which indicates the total number of games they expect
to be played in a match.

For Example a spread of: 22-24
This means the bookmaker expects the match
to last a total of 23 games.

If you think the total played will be more
than 24 games you place a BUY BET.
If you are correct you win the difference between
actual total and 24 multiplied by your stake.

If you think the total will be less than 22 you
place a SELL BET.
If you are correct you win
the difference between the actual total and 22
multiplied by your stake.

BETTING STRATEGY
A good betting strategy is to place BUY BETS on matches between high ranking and low ranking players.

The reason for this is because high ranking players sometimes can approach these type of matches too llightly. Then the unknown low ranking player will raise his game and battle hard especially in the early sets. This will result in the matches being higher than the bookmakers expected spread and you can cash in!!
This system works better on the mens matches rather than the womens.

Fantastic Djokovic

Hi there,

Roger Federer was destroyed by the inform Djokovic in 3 straight sets. Roger didn't look his old self, missed a lot of shots that in the past were second nature to him. He looked for the first time to me to be unfit and not confident. Is this the beginning of the end for the "Super Star" or merely a blip?
Now the roars for Andy Murray will intensify. Is this the chance for him to shine? Will he be an English Hero or a Scottish loser? Just has to beat Ferrer and Djokovic. Has a good record against the former. I think that Djokovic will take some stopping and at odds of 8/11 will have my €100 on him.
