To be successful at any business ( I consider backing horses a business ) you must have a plan or system. I know there are loads of "Bogus Systems" out there that unscrupulous people try to sell to new or unsuspecting punters, but there are some systems, that if given a chance can be profitable over the long-run. I have being looking into such systems over the years and intend to give the best of them away for free in the coming weeks. These systems will give you a fighting edge over the enemy bookies, some have being tried and tested and have produced exciting results. There are no "Holy Grail" Systems that will promise you riches in a short period of time, anyone that tells you different is lying. To be profitable at betting on the horses or any sport is hard work and like any business you only get what you put into it.
My first piece of advice if you are considering entering or are in the betting world is to follow a few basic but essential rules,
1. Only bet what you can comfortable afford to lose
2. Set aside a betting bank - say - €500 to €1,000
3. Only bet a percentage of your bank on each selection - say - 2% to 5%
4. Only increase you bet if your bank increases.
5. Do not chase loses - as they will come
6. Take in as much information as is available
7. Don't follow the crowd - as most lose
8. Have fun - if the fun stops - stop
