G4S Disaster

When a Private Company like G4S take over security for something as big as the Olympics their is bound to be a cock-up. Security for the Olympics needs to run with military precision and their is only one body of people capable of carrying this out ie. the Military. The Government placed the contract in the hands of a Private Security Company, with the sole intention of making a profit by hiring unsuitable personnel with a few days training and being payed minimum wage. The Government goes on then to have a big inquiry into what went wrong. The same questions are being asked by hundreds of companies throughout the country, what's happening? why are we failing? where did we go wrong? etc......Why do companies think they can hire people for minimum wage that have probably being forced to take the job and expect to be successful?

I know jobs are scarce at the moment and everyone is cutting back but to think that people will be happy to work for extremely low pay and to perform their task efficiently is not viable. 

The governments solution is to make people depending on Social Welfare worse off rather that making people that are prepared to work better off. Austerity, cut- backs and reduced pay will only make things worse in the long-run. If there is ever going to be a more equal and fairer society now is the time to take a hard look at where society is heading if we proceed down this avenue. The gap between the wealthy and poor has increased during this recession and the planned austerity cuts will widen the margin even more.

The poor and ordinary workers are easy targets whereas the rich can use every means to evade and avoid Tax and other commitments. 

Now is the time for change but is there a will and a way.
